Matthew J. Mueller Named Shareholder At Wiand Guerra King
Tampa, FL — The law firm of Wiand Guerra King is pleased to announce that Matt Mueller has been named a shareholder of the Firm. Since joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Mueller has led the development of Wiand Guerra King’s White Collar and Criminal Tax Defense practices. He is a former federal prosecutor having served with the Department of Justice in two capacities: first as a Trial Attorney with the Tax Division in Washington, D.C. and then as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Tampa.
Mr. Mueller focuses his practice on white collar defense, including civil and criminal tax, securities, and health care matters, regulatory enforcement actions, grand jury investigations, and civil litigation. He has presented to the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation and Business Law Section, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Tax Section, and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association on topics such as criminal tax fraud and evasion, health care fraud, securities fraud, and the federal sentencing guidelines. He has also directed his efforts to the defense of indigent criminal defendants by serving on the Middle District of Florida’s Criminal Justice Act panel and by his pro bono representation of a federal prisoner in his successful petition for clemency—one of three successful clemency petitions submitted by Wiand Guerra King attorneys.
