Guerra & Partners proudly renewed its Gold level sponsorship for the George Edgecomb Bar Association’s (GEBA) 40th Anniversary Scholarship Gala, which occurred on April 21, 2023. GEBA is Tampa’s largest predominately African American voluntary bar association and is dedicated to promoting and recognizing African Americans within the legal profession and judiciary. GEBA’s Scholarship Program and its community partners have awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to college-bound students in Hillsborough County, and Guerra & Partners is honored to play a role in this cause. This year’s banquet commemorated GEBA’s 40th anniversary and was a celebration of GEBA’s history, its founders, and the leadership and members who play a key role in upholding the association’s legacy of excellence. This year, GEBA honored five brilliant high school students and two law students who have already achieved greatness in the face of tremendous obstacles. Guerra & Partners’ own Chemere Ellis presented one of two bar study scholarship awards to Logan Jackson, 3L at Stetson College of Law and a future leader in our community.
