Chemere Ellis Graduates from the HCBA Leadership Institute

Guerra & Partners is pleased to announce that Chemere Ellis has graduated from the Hillsborough County Bar Association  (“HCBA”) 2022-2023 Leadership Institute. The 2022-2023 Leadership Institute consisted of an elite group of attorneys who all exhibit the potential to develop into HCBA and Tampa Bay community leaders.

Guerra & Partners Prevails On FINRA Eligibility Motion

On April 5th, shareholder Ailen Cruz successfully argued a Motion to Dismiss based on eligibility in a FINRA customer arbitration.  Although FINRA arbitration rules prohibit time-barred claims from proceeding in arbitration, arbitrators have been conspicuously less inclined to dismiss ineligible claims in recent years due  – in part – to increasingly creative pleadings and arguments from claimants that are designed to avoid dismissal.

Guerra & Partners Celebrates International Transgender Day of Visibility

March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual celebration of transgender and nonbinary people and a commemoration of the worldwide discrimination against this vulnerable population. The term “transgender” refers to someone whose gender differs from the sex they were assigned at birth, and “nonbinary” refers to those who do not identify as either a man or a woman or are not strictly one or the other.

Guerra & Partners Support The Children’s Dream Fund 2023 Dreammaker Luncheon

Guerra & Partners PA was proud to support and attend the Children’s Dream Fund 2023 Dreammaker Luncheon that took place on March 1, 2023 at Armature Works in Tampa. The event concluded with Guerra & Partners attorney and Chairman of the Children’s Dream Fund Board of Directors Rob Jamieson taking the stage to present the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Lightning Foundation with the 2023 Dreammaker Award for their many years of incredible generosity and support of the Dream Fund’s Mission.
